On September 11, 2009, Sanyo will introduce the Eneloop Lamp. I’m hoping that one day this will be the only kind of electronic product available — fully rechargeable, fully recyclable. Using Sanyo’s rechargeable batteries, the Eneloop Lamp looks beautiful indoors to create just the right kind of ambience. It functions as a flashlight in emergencies, and otherwise comes in four modes: high light, low light, healing light, and flickering light. High and low light are self-explanatory. The healing light is deep blue, and is perfect for relaxing in bed or lighting a room when you aren’t feeling well. It’s the light of contemplation.
